Darby Erin is a long-time bodyworker at Zazen. She has been cultivating her unique craft here for 5 out of the almost 18 years that she has been practicing massage therapy. From schools in Sebastopol, to Berkeley, and Asheville, NC; Darby has incorporated Swedish Esalen, Trigger Point, Lymphatic Drainage, Cranial Sacral, Trager, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy massage, and aromatherapy into her skillset.
She has worked both privately and in the spa retreat industry, and her experience allows for a natural ease in accessing a client's particular and current energetic composition. Her style feels finely detailed and simultaneously effortless. She brings a sort of dancing rhythm to her work, and clients receive subtle and patterned feelings of "flow". Her weeping and stretching movements refer LIKE a regular Swedish treatment, but the work becomes effectively deep as needed. More broad, weighty pressure melts and evens into areas of blocked muscle tension, restoring all-over somatic balance.
Styles: Darby offers 60 or 90 minute sessions of Swedish and Deep Tissue work, as well as focalized care for serious post-surgical and chronic pain conditions.
