Francesca Gobeille, RYT, is a second-generation yoga instructor, and has been immersed in Eastern philosophy and spiritual practice since birth. After intensive studies in Anusara Yoga, she received her 200-hour teaching certificate from Integral Yoga Institute in New York City. She is also a certified Therapeutic (Restorative) Yoga instructor, and completed Yin Yoga + Buddhist mindfulness meditation training with Sarah Powers. She is currently completing a 500-hour training in Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation at Spirit Rock Meditation Center.
Francesca teaches both active and restorative styles of yoga to cultivate balanced, natural health and ease in body/mind. Her active classes are informed by study of the Alexander Technique, as well as traditional Hatha Yoga sequencing. They build strength and flexibility with ease, guided by free breaths. In her Restorative classes, Francesca teaches supported postures, incorporating aromatherapy and gentle touch for a deeply healing, rejuvenating experience. Her Yin classes, which nourish the joints and harmonize the body’s energy system, are an ideal complement to more active styles of yoga and exercise.
Each class is inspired by Francesca’s 18+ years of dedicated meditation practice, and her study of Buddhist mindfulness meditation. Her aspiration is to share with students what she has found in the practice: space to cultivate inclusive, embodied awareness; to re-learn to love oneself unconditionally; and to enjoy increasing freedom in body, mind, and heart.
