I have been practicing massage therapy and bodywork since 2007, after I graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. I then moved out to the bay area in 2009. I later went on to get my bachelors of science in alternative medicine and graduated last year. After a trip to Ghana to volunteer with community health, I started my Master's in Anthropology and Social Change at CIIS (California Institute of Integral Studies). One of the big pieces of my research is mindfulness and self-care, as well as community building and mutual aid. There is so much to heal in this world, but it starts with our relationship to our own bodies, and that is what ties my work together.
I specialize in deep tissue and sports massage, prenatal, hot stone, aromatherapy, myofascial integration and relaxation/Swedish massage, and I am always learning and adapting new techniques. My bodywork sessions are individually catered to your unique needs, so no two massages are alike. Whether you spend all day at a desk, are a caretaker, an athlete, have injuries or pathologies that you are recovering from, or are simply holding a lot of stress and tension in your body, I will address your needs appropriately and holistically. My work involves education, including how to listen and communicate with your body. After all, I believe that your body has the power to heal itself- bodywork is only a catalyst to your ultimate health.
