I see therapy as an opportunity for self-discovery, empowerment and healing. My approach to the therapeutic process is mindfulness based and collaborative. I believe that therapy can provide a safe space to move gently towards our growing edges. Together, we can explore the narratives and relational patterns that may be limiting our potential for personal growth and intimacy. Through this process, we can arrive 'home', in authentic self-expression and connection to our deepest truth.
Somatic (body-oriented) psychotherapy is at the heart of my work with clients. The body is our vessel that holds all of our life’s experiences (physical, emotional and mental). Through a more holistic inquiry, we can discover an embodied sense of empowerment in our lives.
I have a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Somatics from the California Institute of Integral Studies. In addition, I have trained at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy in San Francisco. My offerings are also inspired by the therapeutic practices of InnerYoga and spiritual teachings of Adyashanti and Tara Brach.
I work with individual adults, adolescents and couples from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
