Cassandra has been on a path of self-discovery for several years. Her desire is to share what she's learned along the way. After obtaining a business degree and a plant based nutrition certificate, she began massage training at San Francisco School of Massage & Bodywork and soon after, began her initial 200-Hour yoga teacher training at Avalon Art & Yoga Center (now "Avalon Yoga International") in Palo Alto, CA. The history of yoga, philosophy, injury prevention, anatomy, pranayama along with an introduction to a variety of asana styles were covered. She continues to attend trainings and meditation focused retreats to enrich her mindfulness, teaching and practice. She attended and assisted Judith Hanson Lasater in Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga, level one and advanced and recently completed 300-Hours Registered Yoga Teacher training with Christina Sell and Gioconda Parker in Alchemy of Flow & Form.
Cassandra currently teaches Restorative, Hatha, and Vinyasa Yoga classes and workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area, while also helping others relax as a licensed massage therapist. Her massage style varies per client. She’s got a firm Swedish touch and also offers Deep Tissue, or Sports Massage, filled with stretches and lengthening while incorporating an element of relaxation. She offers Aromatherapy with any of her massages and Zen Shiatsu on the mat. There is a sense of creativity, passion, and uplifting, yet structured, energy that moves through her veins, with a constant curiosity of how to deepen the understanding and effects of her yoga practice and path to oneness, which is often expressed in her teaching.
