The retreat will be facilitated by Samuel Bernier, Eva Giedt, Dara Knerr and Ryan McGladrey. Time will be devoted to silent sitting and walking meditation. There will also be opportunity to sit during the night time hours for those who would like to do so. There will be break times each day to be outside and walk natural paths surrounding Zazen Retreat. We will hold a traditional silent retreat schedule beginning Friday evening and ending at lunch on Sunday.

The retreat is open to anyone who has worked with Thomas Hübl. If you have not participated in Thomas's Timeless Wisdom Training program, one of our team will speak with you about your experience prior to accepting your registration.

Schedule

Please arrive no later than 5:00pm on Friday to check in. You are welcome to arrive any time after 3:00pm to enjoy the grounds and settle in. We will have a group dinner at 6:30pm and begin our evening program after that. The program will end on Sunday by 2 pm, following lunch. Our period of silence will begin after dinner on Friday and end just before lunch on Sunday.

Location

The meditation retreat will be held at Zazen Retreat, in Ukiah, two hours north of San Francisco. Zazen Retreat is a wonderful natural setting for an intimate silent retreat. (We held a Celebrate Life parallel event there there last August.)

Orr Hot Springs is just 15 minutes away. Please consider planning a visit to the hot springs before or after retreat, and note that advanced registration is required at Orr; i.e. no walk in registration.

You may also consider a side trip to Montgomery Woods, a State Natural Preserve about 20 minutes away. It is beautiful old growth redwood forest containing some of the tallest redwoods on earth.
