For Sandy, yoga practice has been a path of transformation, self discovery and learning. She has a dedicated personal practice and is deeply interested in instilling a love of practice in her students. In classes, she teaches classical yoga asanas (postures), introduction to pranayama (breath work), and works to meet the needs of each student. Classes also include elements of philosophy, theory and yogic lifestyle.
Sandy has been practicing yoga and Buddhism for over 10 years and teaching since 2013. She is a resident practitioner at the San Francisco Zen Center and graduate of Spirit Rock's mindfulness yoga and meditation training program. Sandy is currently training in Iyengar yoga with her teachers Victoria Austin, Brian Hogencamp and Manouso Manos.
