This workshop is designed for students new to yoga, or those who want to bring greater understanding and refinement to their practice. We will focus on clarifying the basics of yoga practice, including hints and cautions for staying safe and injury free, alignment points in some of the principal postures, and the breath in yoga postures. We will also look at the basics of relaxation and meditation. This workshop will prepare participants to attend general yoga classes and begin a home practice.
Students will be introduced to the eight limbs of yoga, which lead one to cultivate a purposeful, directed and intentional life.
This workshop will include interactive lecture and physical practice. Wear comfortable clothing. All mats and props are provided.
